Ultrasound and Anniversary Weekend Away!

Today was the big day - our ultrasound. I will try to see if I can scan some pictures in. It was such a fun experience, we were in awe! We could see the face, toes, hands, heart, spine, kidneys, heart chambers and the list goes on!!! The technician said that she had a great angle to see the gender- so she had us look away. She said it always happens with couples who don't want to find out- the baby is in prime position with legs open...but with couples that want to find out the baby is rarely in the perfect position. Too funny! What a great day to see this little one growing inside! It sure feels more and more real now. I have even started to feel little tickling movements here and there but I'm waiting for an official kick one of these days!

Tomorrow we are heading to a resort in Brainerd for our anniversary. I'll try to take some pics of the resort. We are looking forward to getting away. I don't think we've had a weekend to ourselves away since our honeymoon - sad, that is supposed to be after children. :) We are bringing our golf clubs in hopes that the weather is decent. It will also be nice to walk around, shop, eat at some fun places and just be away from everyday life! It's crazy to think that one year ago we were getting ready for our big day...and a year later we are half way through pregnancy. What an amazing year for us- so exciting. We are so blessed!

Pictures to come.....

Baby Mango

So I subscribe to emails that tell me the size of our baby - and this week it's the size of a mango...weighing in at about eight ounces and six inches in length. I love how each day they compare your little one to a fruit or veggie! Tomorrow is our ultrasound - although we are NOT going to find out the gender. So for all of you control freaks or uber planners, you will just have to hold off and be patient!! :) I get asked all the time "can I ask why you are not going to find out?" and my answer is, "There are so few surprises in life that we really want to keep this one!" So, I will let you know what we think about the cool pictures of our little peanut after the appointment tomorrow!

Sullivan Easter!

Yes, it took me a week after Easter to actually post some pictures - sorry! This week has been pretty busy with work and at night I just want to enjoy some of the nice weather instead of being on the computer.

Last Saturday we celebrated Easter with the entire Sullivan clan - Joe's sister (my sis-in-law) Jess joined us too! We had great fun! The kids had an Easter egg hunt in the yard so it was fun to watch them run around and get excited. We had a great meal, and it was fun to just hang out and catch up with everyone - all while relaxing!

I hope everyone had a nice Easter with their families. Happy spring!!!

Overall Update AND Happy Easter!!!

I apologize, I have been a very bad blogger lately. Things have been busy! I was on a three day work trip last week to upstate New York, Pennsylvania and Indiana. It was a whirlwind trip! It was good and fun but by the third day I was exhausted. Since I have been back work has been crazy. There are a lot of people on vacation or they have moved on to other positions so in two weeks we will have two more people to help out. In the meantime, I am drowning. :)
Last weekend Joe and I went shopping at the MOA and I bought some maternity wear - finally! It is nice to just be able to wear pants that feel comfortable, although the pair of jeans I have keep falling down. I am sure in no time I will fill them out more!
This week was also busy. I volunteered for the Angel Foundation on Monday night after teaching my class. I got to hang out with teenagers who have a parent with cancer. We made journals, ate treats and talked about feelings. Tuesday night we sent off Joe's parents to Mexico. They were staying in town before their flight took off, so we had dinner with them. It is his mom's first trip on a plane and she didn't seem nervous. They are going with a fun group so we can't wait to hear the stories! Wednesday I had Book Club and it was nice to catch up with the ladies and have good conversation!
This weekend is Easter and I look forward to hanging out with the entire Sullivan clan. We are bringing Joe's little sis, Jess, with too so it will be fun to have her. I can't wait to see all the kids (8 neices and nephews) and just relax and hang out.

Happy Easter to everyone. Enjoy this nice weather, family time, and all of the blessings God has given us!
