Going Bananas!!
I am dying of laughter. Look at my two little banana men! Joe bought these costumes yesterday at Target because he couldn't resist. Braden's is actually a dog costume if that is not hysterical. He also has a pumpkin suit so we had to put him in that one too!
Happy Halloween to everyone, stay safe and have fun!!

Happy Halloween Eve!
Tonight we took a few pictures of Braden in his "My First Halloween" wear. We know this year he won't be officially trick-or-treating but this will be the first year we can officially get excited about watching a little one in years to come run around in a costume and go house to house for candy. How fun!!! We can't wait for that!

Peanut #1 and Peanut #2
Today Braden and I went to visit my friend from work, Leah, and her newborn son Lucas. Lucas was born exactly three weeks after Braden. He is a tiny little peanut. I had to show a picture of the two tikes that met eachother for the first time today!! Lucas weights 6 pounds 5 ounces right now and I am thinking Mr. Braden is more in the 8-9 range now but we won't know until his two month check up in over two more weeks. He is getting so big!!

Countdown to Halloween
So I am trying to get the most use out of Braden's Halloween clothes and PJs before the upcoming holiday so I thought I'd take some pictures in his Halloween onsie. Also, a big milestone was reached- he officially smiles (on his own, not just during sleep!) I tried to capture the smile but by the time the camera clicks the smile is gone or the eyes are shut. Here are a few close calls though!

Bath Time
Braden is getting more used to his baths. He definitely does not scream the entire time now. We think the ticket is making sure the warm water is on him the entire time instead of having small periods of time where he is left cold until we get more water on him. We enjoy the nights where it's bath and then reading a book time. Family fun time!
Here is a cute pic of him in his towel after a nice warm bath. So cute. :)
Braden is One Month Old!
Well today Braden is officially one month old. It has gone by pretty darn fast! We are definitely getting the hang of things. We now put him to bed in between 8-9 and he does pretty good- sleeping in about three hour increments. Sometimes it takes a while to get him down for the first time but after that he is pretty good through the night- waking up to eat and then goes back to sleep pretty good. We have started to make some plans with people during the day- walking at the Mall of America, visitors, coffee, walks, trips to Target, etc.... All in all, we are doing good. Braden went to two gatherings this weekend at people's houses too. He is definitely more alert now and has more "play" and awake time which is fun. You can watch his eyes following objects or your face now which is cool.
We are definitely blessed to have this little man in our lives. He is adorable and we don't know what we would do without him now. Happy One Month milestone little buddy! :)

Three Weeks Old!
Braden is three weeks old today. It is hard to believe that 21 days ago from right now we did not have him in our life and then at 6:36 that night we did! I now can't imagine life without him. He is truly a gift that we soooooo appreciate each and every day.
Today Braden began playing with toys- I put this firefly in the bassinet so he could play while I showered. I came out of the shower to check on him and he had the rings around his wrist. We have a little smarty on our hands already! :)

Week Two at Home with Mom, Week Three of Braden
Here are some more pics to make you smile. We haven't been up to a whole lot the past few days. The weather has been nasty so we haven't been out for walks for a few days now which stinks. We had a nice weekend hanging with Dad though and now it's Monday again and it's back to Braden and Mom time. A big milestone was giving Braden his first bath this weekend (he only had sponge baths up until now). He pretty much screamed the entire time. He sure smelled nice and baby fresh when we were all done though.

Out and About
Braden and I love to take walks on the days where it has actually been nice out this week (like two days). We walked all the way to Target and back on Wednesday. That was Braden's first trip to Target. He slept the whole time.
This is a picture of what he does the entire time we are out for a stroll- sleep. He loves the BOB stroller. I think he likes the motion so much because I did so much running and working out while pregnant.
Here's to more nice days where I can get outside before I have to be locked up for the winter!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh, lovely Minnesota! :)

Big Day!
Today is a big day for two few reasons:
One - it was my first day alone with Braden without Joe. I thought there would be tears shed but I was sleeping when Joe left for work at 6:30 this morning so I didn't have a chance to get emotional. I was a little scared of what today might bring but it was a great day and I did it all on my own! :) I got to take a shower and dry my hair and we took an hour long walk outside. I call those major accomplishments. Joe missed his little guy and anxiously came home after work to hold him in his arms! The bottom pic is a pic we took this weekend of us three curled up on the couch relishing the fact that we all got to be together for twelve days straight.
The second reason that it is a big day is the Vikings vs. Packers game tonight. I am posting these pics of Braden next to a football - his Dad is already trying to influence him on what sport to play and what team to cheer for. Many of you might be disappointed that Braden will be a man who wears green but when you have a Dad that is so passionate about his team you can't really deny him of getting his own son to join his club. :)
