37 weeks!

Yesterday I was 37 weeks- so three more weeks to go until the due date. Who knows if baby will arrive early or late, but after this weekend (Labor Day weekend) we said we would be prepared. I wouldn't mind at least one more weekend after this just for relaxing and doing whatever we want- going to dinner, or a movie, etc....but whatever happens we are excited for baby's arrival and can't believe how fast this whole process has gone. We are done with the showers and done with the classes. The room is all set. We bought the items that we didn't get except for a car seat to go with the BOB stroller which hopefully can get crossed off the list this weekend!

Baby's First Concert

It was our National Sales Meeting last week at Target. It is always in late August. For this meeting, all the field leaders (stores, DCs) and everyone at headquarters gather at the Target Center for an afternoon of speeches, awards and entertainment. This year the surprise entertainment was Shakira, Faith Hill and the Black Eyed Peas. Renee Zellweger was also there promoting a new movie that she has in partnership with Target. It was a pretty fun day. The Black Eyed Peas were top notch-full of energy, got the crowd going and did an awesome job performing. The bass was so loud that Baby H. was jammin' inside the tummy.

Nisswa

This past weekend Joe, my dad and I went up to Nisswa. We stayed at Breezy Point and had a great time! We sat by the lake, shopped, bar hopped, went swimming and saw an Elvis show!
This was the last weekend away for Joe and I. Now it's time to stick around town for baby Hammond's arrival!
I grew up going to Nisswa every summer since my grandparents lived there. I have so many fond memories. I want to start a tradition of going up there every summer now and making more memories with my own family. Here's to another fun weekend in Nisswa!

Girls Weekend

I'm a little behind in posting, sorry!! I have been gone the past two weekends!

I went on a girls weekend with the St. Bens ladies two weekends ago. We went to Gail's house in Rochester on Friday night and they threw me my first baby shower. It was really fun and they did a great job on the food, games and presents! Saturday we drove to Lanesboro. I wasn't sure what that little town would have to offer since I hadn't even heard of it before. It was great! We shopped, went to a little winery where you could wine taste, went to dinner, rented four person bikes (which were a ton of work and you barely got anywhere, hung out at the Bed and Breakfast and most of all enjoyed eachother's company!
Thanks ladies for another memorable weekend together and for the awesome baby shower. I cherish these ladies and our friendship that has lasted for about 15 years!
